SDC — Swingers Date Club — is the long-established international platform for couples and singles, strongest in Europe and North America and built around lifestyle travel. Two facts define it for an Australian reader. It is the only app we cover whose own privacy disclosure says the data it collects is not linked to your identity. And it charges men about 25 per cent more than couples and women, openly, on every plan.
How this review was done. We have not used the app under test conditions and will not pretend we have. This is a desk review of what the platform publishes about itself: its Australian App Store listing on 19 September 2026 (prices in AUD, and the App Privacy disclosure Apple requires every developer to complete), and its own website. A narrower claim than a hands-on review, and a far more verifiable one. We take no commissions and there are no affiliate links on this page.

What it is
SDC calls itself the world’s largest international swinging lifestyle community, for open-minded couples and singles, and its App Store listing claims over three million members in more than a hundred countries. The product is broader than a dating app: SDC Messenger and speed dating, a directory of swingers parties and clubs, a travel calendar, travel reviews and “sexiest cities”, SDC BNB for lifestyle-friendly stays, interest groups, forums, and a network of lifestyle businesses. The current build (5.3.7) had been updated within a day of our check. The app itself is listed in English; the description says the platform supports Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese too.
What it costs, and something to be aware of
Every figure is from the Australian App Store listing, in AUD.
| 1 month | 3 months | 6 months | 1 year | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Couples and women | $39.99 | $79.99 | $129.99 | $199.99 |
| Men | $49.99 | $99.99 | $149.99 | $249.99 |
Membership is priced by gender: single men pay $10 more per month and $50 more per year than couples and women, roughly 25 per cent. SDC does not hide this — the purchase items are literally named “Couple/Female” and “Male” on the listing. Gendered pricing is common in this category and follows the same ratio logic that governs door policies at venues. Whether that is reasonable is your call; it should at least be a known cost before you sign up. The listing also states a three-day trial with full access.
What it collects
Apple requires every developer to declare what data the app collects and whether it is linked to your identity. SDC’s declaration is the shortest of any lifestyle app we have looked at:
- Data not linked to you: a user ID, product interaction, and crash data — used for the developer’s advertising or marketing, analytics, and app functionality.
- Data linked to you: none declared.
- Data used to track you across other companies’ apps: none declared.
That is a materially more private posture than RedHotPie or Feeld, both of which declare precise location and sensitive information linked to your identity. Two caveats. A declaration describes what the app collects through Apple’s frameworks, not everything the platform knows about you once you have filled in a profile. And SDC’s website says it prioritises your privacy but does not elaborate on the home page; the full policy is linked from its footer and worth reading before you join. Even so, if minimising the data trail is your first priority, this is the standout.
Australian relevance
This is the honest limitation. SDC’s centre of gravity is Europe and North America, and its App Store presence in Australia is small — under a hundred ratings against RedHotPie’s several thousand. Nothing on the listing speaks to Australian membership. If your main use is finding people in Melbourne this week, the local platforms will show you more of them. If you travel, or want the international network, that changes.
Who it suits
Travellers, particularly to Europe and the US, where the clubs directory, travel calendar and BNB listings earn their keep. Couples who want an international network. And anyone whose main concern is data minimisation.
Who should look elsewhere
Single men on a budget — the gendered pricing is real and the Australian user base is thin, so you would be paying the most for the least. Anyone whose priority is the local scene, where Adult Match Maker is built for it and RedHotPie has the incumbent’s reach. Couples who want the best linked-profile experience, which is Feeld.
Questions people ask
How much does SDC cost in Australia?
On the Australian App Store, couples and women pay $39.99 a month, $79.99 for three months, $129.99 for six or $199.99 a year. Men pay $49.99, $99.99, $149.99 and $249.99 for the same periods. A three-day full-access trial is stated.
Why do men pay more on SDC?
SDC prices membership by gender, with purchase items named “Couple/Female” and “Male”. It reflects the same ratio logic that governs venue door policies. The listing does not give a reason beyond the pricing itself.
Is SDC private?
Its App Store disclosure declares only data not linked to your identity — a user ID, usage and crash data — and no cross-app tracking. That is the most private declaration of any lifestyle app we cover. Read the full privacy policy on their site before joining.
Is SDC popular in Australia?
Not especially. Its base is Europe and North America and its Australian App Store rating count is small. It earns its keep for travel and international networking rather than a local Melbourne weekend.
All prices and privacy disclosures come from SDC’s Australian App Store listing and its own website on 19 September 2026 and change without notice. Corrections welcome at hello@swingershub.com.au. Compare it with the others in our guide to lifestyle apps in Australia.
