RedHotPie review (Australia, 2026)

RedHotPie is the longest-established Australian name in lifestyle dating and the one most people in the local scene have heard of. Three things define it: it is Australian-built, it sells more kinds of purchase than any competitor, and its own privacy disclosure says it uses your precise location and sensitive information, linked to your identity, for its advertising. Which of those matters most to you decides whether it is the right app.

How this review was done. We have not used the app under test conditions and will not pretend we have. This is a desk review of what the platform publishes about itself: its Australian App Store listing on 19 September 2026 (prices in AUD, and the App Privacy disclosure Apple requires every developer to complete), and its own website. A narrower claim than a hands-on review, and a far more verifiable one. We take no commissions and there are no affiliate links on this page.

What it is

Digital Quarter describes RedHotPie on the App Store as a platform for dating, parties and events, and claims over three million international member listings across more than 47 countries. The current build (version 5.27) had been updated within a day of our check, which is a fair sign the app is actively maintained. The listing describes an overhauled Messenger with real-time conversation, image sharing and video calls, a Discover system for matches, a Prospects list, and a DateFinder for browsing dates and community events.

It is the incumbent. Being Australian-founded and long established, it is the app most people in the local scene already have an account on, and the one most likely to show you members outside the capital cities.

What it costs

Every figure below is from the Australian App Store listing, in AUD, at the time of writing.

Subscriptions Extras $18.99 a month · Plus $24.99 a month · Premium $43.99 and $109.99 · PremiumPLUS $49.99 and $149.99
Conversation credits 5 for $14.99 · 10 for $19.99 · 20 for $29.99
Coins 50 for $9.99

The listing does not label the period on the two higher Premium and PremiumPLUS prices; the pattern suggests monthly and annual, but confirm in the app before you pay. The more important thing to understand is the structure. Where Feeld and SDC sell one subscription, RedHotPie sells subscriptions and consumable credits and coins on top. Work out which tier actually unlocks the messaging you want before buying credits as well — the combination adds up quickly, and it is easy to end up paying twice for overlapping access.

App Store pricing changes regularly and buying on a platform’s own website is sometimes cheaper than in-app. Treat these as current on the Australian store at time of writing and check before subscribing.

What it collects

This is the section that matters most in this scene, and the one no affiliate review will show you. Apple requires every developer to declare what data the app collects and whether it is linked to your identity; the declaration is legally binding on them. RedHotPie’s says:

  • Linked to you, used for the developer’s advertising or marketing: your email address and sensitive information.
  • Linked to you, used for personalisation: precise location, user ID and sensitive information.
  • Linked to you, used for app functionality: purchase history, email, phone number, photos and videos, user ID and device ID.
  • Not linked to you: product interaction, usage data, crash and performance diagnostics, and user content.
  • Tracking across other companies’ apps and websites: not declared.

“Sensitive information” is a defined Apple category that includes sexual orientation. Precise location plus sensitive information, linked to your identity and used for advertising, is a meaningful thing to hand a lifestyle app. It is also ordinary practice across dating apps and it is openly declared — none of this makes RedHotPie unsafe or dishonest. It should shape how you use it: decline precise location in favour of approximate, sign up with a dedicated email address, and keep identifying photos in private galleries.

Android, and the website

We could find no current RedHotPie listing on Google Play. Third-party app archives suggest the Android app was withdrawn some years ago, but that is not a first-party source, so treat it as unconfirmed. What we can say is: if you are on Android, do not install RedHotPie from an APK site. Sideloading a dating app from an unofficial mirror is a real security risk, and there is no way to verify what you are installing. Use the website instead.

RedHotPie’s website blocks automated access, so unlike every other platform we cover we could not read their own feature and pricing pages. Everything above comes from the App Store listing.

Who it suits

People who want the largest Australian-founded platform and are comfortable with a commercial, credit-based model. If you are in a regional area, this is the app most likely to have someone near you. If you are already on it and it works, there is no reason to leave.

Who should look elsewhere

Couples who want a properly linked shared profile — the listing does not state one, and Feeld is built around it. Anyone whose first priority is a small data footprint — SDC declares that the data it collects is not linked to your identity at all. And anyone who wants swinger-specific profile fields and club listings rather than a general dating app, which is Adult Match Maker‘s whole pitch.

Questions people ask

Is RedHotPie free?

Partly. The App Store listing says you can view unlimited profiles and photos, like and match, see who is interested in you and browse DateFinder without paying. Messaging and the rest sit behind subscriptions from $18.99 a month, plus optional credits and coins.

How much does RedHotPie cost in Australia?

On the Australian App Store: Extras $18.99 a month, Plus $24.99 a month, Premium $43.99 or $109.99, PremiumPLUS $49.99 or $149.99, plus conversation credits from $14.99 and coins from $9.99. Prices change; check before you subscribe.

Is RedHotPie on Android?

We found no current Google Play listing. Use the website on Android rather than an APK from an unofficial site.

Is RedHotPie private?

Its own disclosure says it collects precise location, contact details, photos and sensitive information linked to your identity, and uses email and sensitive information for its advertising. That is ordinary for dating apps, and openly declared. Turn precise location off, use a dedicated email, and keep identifying photos private.
