Wet On Wellington, Collingwood

A Collingwood men’s sauna that opens its doors to couples for one night a month. It’s the most unusual entry in the Melbourne calendar — a genuine crossover event rather than a swingers club, and worth understanding properly before you book.

What it is

Wet On Wellington is a men’s sauna and bathhouse in Collingwood. Its everyday programme is not a lifestyle programme at all: the venue’s own calendar lists nights such as Xposed Nude Night, Furocious Bear Night, Silver Daddy Night, Queer AF and Tubs. That is the venue’s core business, and it is the context any couple should have before walking in.

Roughly once a month, it runs something separate — a Swingers Couples Pool Party, listed by the venue as its own recurring event series. In the venue’s own words on that listing, “Melbourne’s most luxurious and erotic Men’s Club opens its doors for Swingers”.

The venue is part of the same group as Shed 16 in Seaford, which shows in how it operates: published addresses, published prices, dated event pages and a formal booking process.

Where it is

162 Wellington Street, Collingwood VIC 3066. The venue publishes its address openly, so unlike some operators there is no vetting step before you learn where you are going. Phone (03) 9419 2210.

Collingwood is genuinely inner-city, which makes this one of the easiest venues in our coverage to reach and to leave — a real consideration for a night that runs to 2:00am.

The couples event

The Swingers Couples Pool Party is built around the venue’s pool and bathhouse facilities rather than a bar and a dancefloor. That makes for a materially different evening from a lifestyle bar: less standing around with a drink, more water, heat and quiet spaces.

This venue publishes its couples nights one at a time rather than as a season, so there is usually a single date on their calendar. When we checked, that date was:

  • Monday 21 September 2026 — 7:00pm to 2:00am

Once it passes, the next one appears on their events page rather than here — we would rather point you at the live source than carry a date that quietly goes stale.

Monday nights are unusual for the Melbourne scene, and like Shed 16‘s daytime sessions they fill a genuine gap for anyone whose week doesn’t have a free Saturday in it.

Prices, as published

The venue publishes its pricing for this event directly on the event listing:

  • Couples — $100
  • Ladies — $45
  • Single men — $350, with conditions the venue notes on its own page

That single-male price is the widest gap of any operator we cover, and it is worth reading for what it is: a pricing structure, published openly, that tells you clearly what balance the room is built around. Venues use different levers to manage who is in the room — Club Nine publishes a ratio, Club Gemini vets applicants, and this venue prices. None of those approaches is a judgement on anyone; they are just different tools for the same problem. Our guide for single men covers how to read these policies across the city.

Confirm all prices and conditions on the venue’s own site before you book — they set them, they change them, and their page is the only authority.

Who it suits

It suits couples who are curious about a bathhouse setting rather than a bar, who like the idea of a Monday event because their weekends are spoken for, and who want somewhere genuinely close to the city. It also suits people who find enormous produced club nights overwhelming and would rather a smaller, quieter, warmer room.

It suits you less if you were hoping for a dancefloor and a cocktail list, if a monthly cadence is too infrequent to build any familiarity, or if you would feel uncomfortable in a venue whose regular clientele and programme are different from the event you are attending. There is nothing wrong with that last one — it is worth being honest with yourself about it beforehand rather than at the door.

Before you go

  • Read the venue’s own conduct and facilities pages. A bathhouse has different practical norms from a bar, and they publish theirs.
  • Check the date carefully. This is a monthly series, not a standing weekly night, and the venue’s regular programme runs on the other evenings.
  • Pack for water. It is a pool party in a venue built around sauna, spa and pool facilities — our what-to-wear guide covers the general principles, but this one is more swimwear than dress code.
  • If it is your first lifestyle event anywhere, Your First Night is the better starting point, and a bar-based venue is usually an easier introduction.
