Between Friends
A wine bar in Melbourne’s inner south-east running a weekly themed calendar — decade nights, karaoke, colour themes and age-bracketed events. Pre-book, text to hold a place, or walk up before the 11:00pm entry cut-off. Single men only at nominated events.
Pineapples Lifestyle Bar
A purpose-built venue with a performance-led calendar — DJ nights, live sets, workshops and dedicated newcomer events. Operates an introduction system for new guests; the address arrives on your purchased ticket.
Choosing between the two
Both are worth your time, and most people in the scene use both. The short version:
Between Friends is the more casual, conversational room — a bar first, with a theme on top. Easier to reach by public transport, more flexible about walk-ins, and stronger if you want a night built around talking to people.
Pineapples is the more produced night — a performance or DJ set to anchor the room, purpose-built facilities including private rooms and a change room, and the most structured process in Melbourne for a nervous first visit.

An organiser rather than a fixed venue, running erotic parties at hired Melbourne spaces with stage performances and dedicated consent staff at every event. One of the few Melbourne options publishing a route in for single men.
Wet On Wellington
A sauna and pool venue whose calendar is mostly LGBTQ+ men’s events, but which runs a recurring Swingers Couples Pool Party. A different proposition to a lifestyle bar, and worth knowing about.
Melbourne Swingers (Shed 16)
Reported in press coverage as a purpose-built venue with sauna, spa and steam facilities, running weekly events and a monthly newcomers session. Their site blocks automated access, so we haven’t confirmed current details ourselves — treat this as reported, not verified.
